A major percentage of our firm’s experience is designing quality living environments.  R/DA assists private developers in creating much needed affordable housing communities throughout the Southeastern US through LIHTC, HUD and RD programs.  Spacious floor plans are designed with market-rate appeal and environmentally friendly interior finishes.  Vital amenities provided within each development allow ample recreation and learning spaces, and promote interaction among all residents and their guests.  Since the firm’s establishment in 1996, we have designed over 25,000 units developed through tax credit programs.

Improvement to a town’s business center and providing vital resources for employment, shopping, and entertainment is one of the keys to a vibrant, thriving community.  R/DA is passionate in supporting such endeavors of small towns in central and eastern NC, and brings a broad base of experience to developers, business owners and municipalities.

 

Whether designing a new facility from the ground up, upfitting a shell building or renovating an existing space, R/DA can lead and manage a team of design experts through a thorough programming process that results in a project that successfully serves the owner and the community.  We have worked with large corporate clients to implement their corporate standards for local projects, as well as worked with small business owners to improve or expand their business within the budget available.  No project is too small or too challenging a task.  We strive to provide each client and each project with utmost attention.

Having worked with county boards of education, universities, community colleges, and many other complex owner entities, R/DA has developed valuable skills in understanding the needs of all parties involved.  Managing the scope of work, budget and schedule in order to bring to life a project that meets the needs of everyone is a challenge that R/DA accepts with enthusiasm.
