Springfield Park is an 80-unit apartment complex providing much needed affordable housing in this eastern North Carolina community. Spacious one, two and three bedroom plans are well-appointed and equipped with Energy Star appliances, ceiling fans, washer/dryer connections, walk-in closets, private balcony, and exterior storage closet. A large community room, computer center, fitness center, and laundry room are provided within the Community/Office Building for enjoyment of the tenants and their visitors. Also provided on site are a covered picnic shelter and playground. All living units as well as the entire building and site amenities meet all accessibility requirements.
In addition to funding by the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency, this project also received a loan thru the State’s Workforce Housing Loan Program. “This historic appropriation will expand housing options for working families across the state who are among those hardest hit by the pandemic’s economic impacts,” said Scott Farmer, NC Housing Finance Agency Executive Director. “We are grateful to the General Assembly for recognizing and addressing the housing shortage facing thousands of hard-working North Carolinians.”
